Crystal Cave offers families one of the most unique educational opportunities in the Upper
Midwest. Knowledgeable interpreters teach children and adults about the mysterious world of
caves and the underground during hour-long guided tours. Crystal Cave also offers school and
scout programs, birthday parties, and a special day set aside for home schooling families.
Other on-site activities include panning for real gemstones, a hike on the Sinkhole Nature
Trail, and a visit to the Lodge Gift Shop. Only 50 miles east of the Metro.
Empire in Pine Lumber Museum
The Empire in Pine Lumber Museum earned the State
Historical Society's "Distinguished Service" award in
1982. The award winning display exhibits the rich
logging history of the Red Cedar Valley. The exhibit

Among America's top historic theaters, the 110-year old Mabel Tainter Memorial
represents the Victorian era's best. The memorial was constructed by lumber
baron, Andrew Tainter and his wife Bertha, to memorialize their teenaged
daughter who died in 1886. The Tainter provides a home for performing and
visual arts in Western Wisconsin. The Tainter features a Victorian theater,
art gallery, public reading room and gift shop. Mabel Tainter Memorial is open
daily: tours are scheduled at 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m.
Admission is $5.00 for adults, $4.00 for students/seniors, $3.00 for children
6-12, and for children under 6, there is no charge.

Russell J. Rassbach Heritage Museum
Heritage Museum chronicles the development of Dunn County through its
extensive collection of artifacts and photographs. Exhibits feature a
timeline from prehistoric times to white settlement. Unique features
include the Caddie Woodlawn Children's Discovery Room, a collection of
Victorian era rooms,a history of industry in Dunn County, and more. We
are open Memorial Day-Labor Day, Tuesday-Sunday, 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. and
off-season weekends, 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. Adult fees are $4.00, and students
and seniors pay $2.00

Wilson Place Mansion
Tour guides share 130 years of changing tastes and lifestyles of the Wilsons,
a Midwestern lumber baron family. The Wilson Place experience focuses on the High
Victorian era of the family's greatest wealth. Call for group reservations and
special events. Admission fee: $5.00 adults, $3.50 students and $2.00 for children
12 and under.
